1Red Casino Bonuses – My 7-Month Experience as a UK Player
So I’ve been playing at 1Red Casino since about September last year, and thought I’d share my personal experiences with their bonuses and promotions. This isn’t some copy-pasted review – it’s my actual journey with them over the past 7 months as a regular UK player.

The wagering requirement is 40x the bonus amount, which is definitely on the higher side compared to some UK sites. For my first £200 bonus, I needed to wager through £8000 before I could withdraw any winnings! Sounds mad when you put it like that, but spread over a few weeks it wasn’t actually as difficult as it sounds.
One good thing – they give you 30 days to complete the wagering, which is plenty of time for casual evening players like me. Some casinos only give you 7 days which is just ridiculous unless you’re playing non-stop.

There are 25 different levels to progress through, and each level gives you better perks. After 7 months of fairly regular play (probably deposit about £200-300 per month on average), I’ve managed to reach Level 9.
The main benefit of the loyalty program is the daily cashback. This is where 1Red really stands out compared to other casinos I’ve tried. They give you cashback on your losses from the previous day, and the percentage increases with your loyalty level:
- Level 1-3: 15% cashback
- Level 4-6: 16-17% cashback
- Level 7-10: 18-19% cashback
- Level 11+: 20% cashback
I’m currently getting 18% daily cashback, which has been a proper lifesaver after some bad sessions! Last Friday I lost about £85 playing Gonzo’s Quest and woke up Saturday morning to find £15.30 cashback in my account. It comes with just a 3x wagering requirement too, which is very reasonable compared to most cashback offers.
You need to have lost at least £20 the previous day to qualify for cashback, and there’s a maximum amount you can get back (which increases with your loyalty level).
The loyalty points can also be exchanged for cash bonuses. The exchange rate gets better as you move up the levels. At my current level, I get a £5 bonus for every 500 points. These bonuses come with a 25x wagering requirement.
Weekly Promotions & Free Spins
1Red runs several weekly promotions that are worth taking advantage of. My favourite is their Wednesday “Spin Mania” offer, where you can get free spins based on your deposit amount:
- Deposit £20 with code SPIN30 = 30 free spins
- Deposit £27 with code SPIN60 = 60 free spins
- Deposit £33 with code SPIN100 = 100 free spins
I usually go for the middle option. Last week I got 60 spins on some new NetEnt slot (can’t remember the name, something with Vikings?) and managed to win about £22.50, which was a nice little midweek boost!
They also have a weekend reload bonus where you can get 66% up to £650 using the code 66RED. The wagering on this is the standard 40x but it’s still good value if you’re planning to play over the weekend anyway.

The VIP program also sometimes gives no-deposit rewards. As you move up the levels, you can get free spins or bonus money without needing to make a deposit. According to their loyalty scheme info, the higher levels can get quite generous – up to £60 bonus plus 45 free spins for Level 12 players. Something to aim for I suppose!

The minimum deposit is £30 for the welcome bonus but just £20 for regular deposits, which is pretty standard. Withdrawals are processed within 48 hours in my experience, though you do need to complete their KYC verification process first (just the usual ID and proof of address).
I’ve never had any issues with payments at 1Red – deposits are instant and withdrawals have always reached me within 1-3 days depending on which method I’ve used. No fees either, which is always a bonus!
Is 1Red Casino Worth It for UK Players?
After 7 months playing at 1Red, I’d say their bonus system offers good value if you’re a regular player who can take advantage of the daily cashback. The welcome package is massive on paper, though the 40x wagering requirements do make it challenging to convert to real cash.
The loyalty program with daily cashback is where they really shine – getting up to 20% back on your losses each day with low wagering is pretty rare in my experience of UK casinos.
